Do you find yourself unhappy and suffer deep in your heart that you don’t deserve to be happy? No matter what you do or who you are with, you cannot find happiness. Do you see your life and wish it was different? Do you think about what you wish you had and are not content with who is in your life?
Do you question your worth and try to measure up to what other people are doing? Are you dissatisfied with the way you look? It is so easy to do this. However, you will find reasoning like this just makes the situation worse.
Do you wish to be married if you are single or wish for a different spouse or partner? Do you consider the grass is always greener on the other side?
Did you know no amount of money or person can give you happiness the way God can?
God loves you beyond measure. You are his royal family. He has adopted you as his child in Ephesians 1:5 having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire.
When we love God the way he loves us, there is something that happens deep in our hearts. We start to accept love for others, for everyone in fact. When you love is when true happiness begins, not because of your accomplishments in life, how much money you possess, or how many people love you. But because love is all you feel for others.
Mark: 12:30 you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.” This is the first commandment.
But how do you find love in your heart for others if you don’t find that love for yourself? I am sure you heard it said that in order to love another, you must first love yourself. This is an accurate statement because even in Mark 12:31 “You shall love your neighbor as yourself “This is the second commandment.” There is no other commandment greater than these two”
Say this prayer; Let me love myself the way you love me, Lord, you sent Jesus to die on the cross for my transgression because you love me and because you wanted me to have eternal life, and all I have to do is follow Jesus and accept him as my Lord and savior. How deep is your love for me you sent your only son Jesus to die for me, to suffer the way he did for my sins?. Lord help me have gratitude and love in my heart for you, myself, and others. Help me love you enough to do what is pleasing to you today. God help me put your first in my life.
When you take time to pray first thing in the morning, you will receive God’s peace within you, establishing a relationship with God is your first step to total happiness. Remaining with him is your total happiness. Jesus said he would not leave us alone and he would send the Holy Spirit to guide us and help us.
If you find it hard to love yourself, ask God to help you find your love for Him, for yourself and others. Ask God to help you love others like yourself. Do not allow anyone or anything to steal your joy. God wants you to be happy give yourself permission to be happy.
If you are holding on to guilt then ask God for forgiveness and also forgive all who have sinned against you. The enemy wants nothing more than to steal your joy so don’t give in to the enemy and go to Christ. He has sent his Holy Spirit to guard over you, he is a breath away, take the step to change your life to love and enjoy joy the way you deserve.
